"For the town of San Felipe, this hotel looked like it was probably the nicest option. It was very clean. For the area though, it was quite expensive; I paid nearly the same price for a very nice hotel with a lot of amenities in Ensenada the day after my stay here. The room would have been much better if it had had some very basic things like a safety lock on the inside of the door, a hair dryer, a chair in the room, and a reading lamp near the bed. "

"For a budget stopover the Hotel Diamante could not be faulted. The room was spacious with two king size beds. In a room off there was a good sized sink area, toilet and shower. The shower had plenty of hot water and the water quickly became hot at the sink. Besides the television there was a microwave and decent sized fridge. Outside the pool was sadly drained for maintenance, but we managed to have a drink on the unusual poolside chairs. The receptionist was helpful pointing out a nearby eatery...

"The lady running this place is extremely professional. Everything is super clean and smells nice. The office too. She told me that the front desk is 24 hours and she meant it. There is always someone there. Some may find the rooms to be Spartan, but please, consider the room you would have for that price in Seattle, or Minneapolis, etc. You have a nice, clean room in a safe area. Simple walk to shopping and the beach. Cement beds don't squeak."
